SAVE THE DATE: NASA’s Nature-Inspired Exploration for Aerospace (NIEA) Summit
Biomimicry is an approach to innovation that seeks sustainable solutions to human challenges by emulating nature’s time-tested patterns and strategies. The best model for what is truly sustainable is the natural world.
NASA’s Nature-Inspired Exploration for Aerospace (NIEA) summit invites participants to explore solutions inspired by looking through nature’s lens. This includes fields like biomimicry, biomimetics and physiomimetics. Participants will learn of the latest in nature-inspired research, the path to transference and collaboration opportunities. I will presenting on our efforts to engage engineers at Lockheed Martin with biomimetic design and talk about a couple of biomimicry projects we are working to reduce our environmental footprint.
3rd Annual Nature-Inspired Exploration for Aerospace (NIEA) Summit August 14-17, 2018, Cleveland, OH
NASA’s Glenn Research Center is developing methods and data analytics tools to support nature-inspired system design.
