GBCSC Members attended the 7th Annual Eye on the Environment Networking Event and Supplier Expo hosted by CBS at CBS Studio Center in Studio City, CA.
Over 400 attendees, including CBS employees and on-air talent, environmental advocacy organizations, and guests, were able to network and discuss the most exciting green products, technologies, and initiatives in the entertainment industry. This year over 50 companies showcased sustainable products and services available.
The exhibits covered a number of cutting edge sustainability categories including green travel and logistics, renewable energy, recycling, production lighting, set construction, digital storage, and electric vehicles. New to the event this year was an outdoor interactive exhibitor area that included BMW electric cars, a consumer lighting home exhibit, and a “tiny house” with organic and vegan snacks from Healthy Craft Services.
GBCSC Members along with the Los Angeles Sustainability Executives Roundtable (LASER) sat in on a discussion panel on “Behaviors, Trends, and Technology Driving Sustainability” moderated by CNET’s Ashley Esqueda creator/co-host of “Tomorrow Daily”. Panelists from UCLA, LABBC, AEG, Verizon and HP explored how to influence sustainability at the corporate level through technology, innovation, and changes in behavior. After the panel, LASER hosted a private breakout session to further discuss Corporate Sustainability
